The Crisis in Our Schools
Escalating violence and discipline problems are disrupting classrooms across Georgia. Teachers are facing physical assaults, and students are learning in fear. Enough is enough.
The Solution? Parent Accountability.
The Georgia Parent Accountability Coalition—led by the Georgia Federation of Teachers—advocates for policies that:
✅ Hold parents/guardians legally responsible if their child assaults a teacher or staff member.
✅ Mandate parental/guardian involvement in discipline plans for repeat offenders.
✅ Fund restorative justice programs to address root causes of violence.

Why This Matters
- Teachers are leaving due to unsafe working conditions.
- Students lose learning time when classrooms descend into chaos.
- Taxpayers foot the bill for preventable disruptions.
